people have always been degenerates

also "degenerate" is a relative term, everyone has different standards to what it means

for example, there are multiple first hand sources that quote the first christian empress of the roman empire Theodora (wife of the first christian emperor, Constantine) expressing sadness that her nipples holes wernt big enough to fuck, because she could only fit x amount of dicks inside of her mouth/ass/pussy at a time (she had regular orgies involving dozens, sometimes literally hundreds, of slaveboys gangbanging her, because emperors wife can afford the best...)

morals are a reflection of the timeperiod you are in, morals are not unchanging and constant throughout history, they never have been

punishments have historically been much more cruel and shocking compared to modern time ones too

me too, sacrificing a bear is the best way to start a golden bull market, and this particular bear being sacrificed could cause the beginning of one of the greatest bull markets of all time

and it may be the perfect way to end this egregore once and for all

yes, from BC greece well into the arabian conquest of sicily, and then revived in midevel germany/spain

ancients didnt fuck around when it came to state sanctioned executions
take the classic punishment of "Decimation"
if an army retreated without orders, then the cowards would divide up into groups of 10
each person in these groups of ten would draw a straw
the 1 with the shortest piece of straw would then be beaten to death by the 9 remaining troops

or Poena cullei (from Latin 'penalty of the sack') under Roman law was a type of death penalty imposed on a subject who had been found guilty of parricide. The punishment consisted of being sewn up in a leather sack, with an assortment of live animals, and then being thrown into the sea.

At the time of Emperor Hadrian, the most well known form of the punishment was documented, where a cock, a dog, a monkey and a viper were inserted in the sack. However, at the time of Hadrian poena cullei was made into an optional form of punishment for parricides (the alternative was being thrown to the beasts in the arena). During the 3rd century CE up to the accession of Emperor Constantine, poena cullei fell out of use; Constantine revived it, now with only serpents to be added in the sack. Well over 200 years later, Emperor Justinian reinstituted the punishment with the four animals, and poena cullei remained the statutory penalty for parricides within Byzantine law for the next 400 years, when it was replaced with the punishment for parricides to be burned alive instead.

Poena cullei gained a revival of sorts in late medieval and early modern Germany, with late cases of being drowned in a sack along with live animals being documented from Saxony in the first half of the 18th century."

the animals varied, sometimes it was just a dozen vipers, sometimes it was a rat, a cat, a dog, a chicken(cock), a goat, and some snakes

and you dont even want to know what they did to punish for religious capital crimes
