Slow/dead threads are preferable to mouth-breathing moonfaggotry and muh technical analysis.

Thread dies, another one gets made. But Monero's reputation as a serious coin for serious applications remains intact.

>shitting on/scaring off on any price discussion

Good. Price discussion is futile since everything is so manipulated and it inevitably leads to moonfagging, which in turn results in a retarded HODL culture that disincentivizes spending. Its what ruined BTC, we don't need that shit here.

MoneroChads stay focused on the tech and economics.

>You are right, it is a clownworld.

Astute observation, chap.

>And it won't stop being one overnight.

lol famous last words.

Crypto is hanging on by a thread called Tether: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/17/technology/tether-stablecoin-cryptocurrency.html

The whole thing could implode literally overnight if/when USDT rugs.

>People understand this, and want to gain or maintain their wealth in such a world, so care about price more than anything.

So? As you might have noticed, most people in this market are spectacularly stupid and think buying literal dog memes is a sound investment.

>Go ask 100 people what they care about, and they'll all say price.

Sure they care about price, problem is they're too stupid to realize they're being manipulated.

And all those morons will FOMO into Monero once reality punches them in the face and they realize that fundamentals were the only thing that truly mattered.

>Why did Monero keep gaining sats over the last year? It went from 3000 to 9000 in the span of a year with no signs of stopping.

Pic related.

>>Is the darknet market really such a large use case?

Its the network effect. Ransomware pirates & DNMs got the ball rolling, pulled in the general privacy space which in turn is starting to pull in more and more clearnet users.

And lets not forget that Latin American cocaine cartels are now also demanding payment in XMR, we're talking multi-million dollar payments here. Those funds will likely be used to pay for other criminal enterprises and an organized crime circular economy will gradually emerge, all funded by XMR.

We've only just begun.

>Banks are needed to get new participants into the scheme. Without onramps the price will crater.

you can buy XMR directly from your local dealer. Selling paper wallets is a lucrative bidniz.

Well, just spent a couple of hours reading a post on GodLike that an anon posted in /pol/. "In Late September 2022 It All Collapses..."
https://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message5218322/pg1

I recommend it, as it is the best perspective I have seen on our geo-finance/political shitshow. We are in for a rough winter.

The OP for it has also posted some replies:
"Post 1 obviously first post page 1.
Post 2 is on page 11.
Post 3 was on page 16.
Post 4 was on page 17.
Post 5 was on page 18."
The OP isn't quite fond of crypto as he feels that it will get rolled up into CBDCs. He does seem them rising when the fed pivots. XMR will shine based on his fears.

>Will monero in the future have smart contracts, or the technology it is build on wont allow it?

Smart contracts break TX uniformity and increase the attack surface which thus weakens privacy guarantees. No thanks.
