The cooking and cleaning thing is such a meme.
Cooking used to mean walking miles into town to trade eggs for butter and then walking miles back, then tossing dough around for an hour to make bread, gather wood to light a fire for your oven etc.
Cleaning used to meant going to the river twice to get enough water for when you take out all the laundry and scrubbing dirty farmers clothes and then hanging them all up yourself, and beating the rest of the laundry with sticks and brooms to get the lice and mouse droppings out of them, then dusting your entire house because everything is dirty the floor is basically made of dust.

Nowadays you just make some dinner in 20 minutes, use your dishwasher, and your washer and drier and it only took like 30 minutes total to do everything. Cooking and cleaning is fucking nothing.
