ooh yeah that is a really good comparison. It's really tempting for most tarot readers to assign the court cards (princess, prince, queen, knight) to specific people. I tend to take an abnormal stance on that, it's a lot easier for me to relate them to the specific progression of time/creation. Try thinking of the Queen as the second step of a cyclical creative process, the female aspect. She accepts all, takes on burdens, and carries creation to term, letting others act through her processes to create the end result. What/who are facilitating things in your life?
