So i discoverd this thing in crypto called self-funding , you wont find this typa shit on google since its gatekeeped to death. Its basicly a market manipulation tactic that lets you litteraly create liquidity by converting a high value low liquidity asset to a high value high liquidity one. I wanna niw what /biz/ thinks . Ask me in the thread if u have questions

You ever sell naked SPY before. It's laughable how they just drag it up to your strike out of nowhere. That's where the V shapes are coming from. And the problem with being naked at that point is once it's ITM you absolutely have to do something or else you are a moron, even if the moving averages say it will revert back, once it's ITM and your naked, your heemed. And they know that. That's why they do it. Just easy pennies from stupid goys

You could say the same thing for my $10k a year professional series holding Jew's diversified buy and hold strategy... I'm currently bag holding international and emerging market ETFs at -15% in an inherited IRA that needs to be fully distributed out in the next decade... Wish he woulda just done buy-writes on those instead... Now I have to make a decision on those since his nigger ass is gone. And there is no option volume on these tickers anyway so selling OTM calls is out of the question. I either have to take my L or just hold until it's green and then I can sell ATM calls to exit the position at that point. Either way. 6 one half dozen the other. If he woulda done some buy writes immediately, it would have capped my profit, but I would have more money to average down during the downside...

Yea that was me. It got to the point where enough was enough. I was paying him 1% of my portfolio value to beat SPY by 2% during 2022, but then lose to SPY by 2% on the upswing. And I'm bag holding emerging market and international ETFs in an inherited IRA that absolutely must be distributed out within the next 8 years. And he's been a prick about taking very reasonable annual distributions from that account because they are currently 10 to 15% losers. That motherfucker sold the bottom and called it tax loss harvesting. So now I have a huge capital loss carryforward that I'm going to use up over the next few years hopefully. If I stayed with him he'd just be added to the loss carryforward. Not a terrible strategy if you make 250k + in w2 salary. But I'm trying to completely survive off the market, not go back to CPA wage cucking. Maybe I'm giving up a few mill in future buckaroos, but maybe I'm just taking control of my life and everything will work out fine too. I'm doing covered calls because I am ok with picking my exit price up front and thus being compensated in the form of up front premium that can then be used to buy other shit... More stocks, a new roof, new siding for my house... Meanwhile the people against them say you are gonna be sorry if the market price blows through your short strike. But if you never were gonna sell anyway, then were you actually going to time the top? Who is really the greedy one here? The guy with a 10% winner who is willing to sell for that 10% so he picks the applicable short strike to sell? Or is it the guess sitting on a 10% winner just hoping it goes to a 50% winner? The thing with covered calls is if the stock price goes down then at least you collected premium from selling snake oil contracts (the covered calls). If it goes down too much then you have to make a stop loss decision... Which is the same exact decision you would have to make without selling the covered calls. Im ok with taking my gain and then repeat

Here's my theory, as someone who's only ~15% DRS'd
It trends down because the massive unhedged options plays that retail was engaging in in 2021/2022 stopped, resulting in the cessation of the massive price spikes which slowly bled down but kept the price elevated. Instead, we've been consistently shorted without any significant relief. However, volume has now become so dry, likely due to shares not only being DRS'd but being booked, that not enough liquidity is available to hold the price down.

Liquidity is only 'infinite' in the sense that it can be cyclically recycled. When there are not enough shares to recycle to offset buys in CNS, the price will not be capable of being suppressed, and we should start to see more and more consistent upward pressure.

Both. At the same time. GME has transcended Cartesian reality, we're whipsawing orthogonally through the chart.
