Those digital goods in video games, their currency and items, also have fiat value. You should be reporting all of your trades, all of your currency, and also be paying taxes on your digital goods inside of video games or any other online virtual marketplace.

Yes, every time you use the auction house in WoW, or loot a valuable item that can be traded, is a taxable event. Any time you destroy a ship carrying billions in ISK worth of equipment and EVE and take items, its a taxable event.
