Personally, I'm curious if anyone here has gone back to college later in life, either for fun or for professional development? I am 30, dropped out of a top 50 university's computer science program and have been working in software engineering roles ever since. I do very well financially, but I always kind of wanted to go back to college for the sake of the credential.

I don't see it helping me professionally as I am more likely to retire within the next 3 - 5 years than I would be to switch professions or be applying for jobs. BUT, I applied to UPenn and got accepted as a transfer, and having an ivy league degree would be a cool accolade. What do you guys think, is it a waste of time/money?

I'm not smart, lots of luck. I'm just a middle class schmuck who weaseled my way in. is my life going to change? I don't have the brainpower to become an MD or PhD, am I really a shoo-in for banking even if I don't have great grades?
