even if there is a "shadow" ledger for central banks/govs, there will still be a need for the XRPL
everyone will still require a currency and it is inevitable that it will be digital
the only scenario in which a generally available form of currency is not required would be a "gov provides everything" UBI type deal
Even then, "black" markets will continue to exist - in the absence of fiat, some other form of currency will emerge, possibly digital
people find ways around everything
