But if there's no overnight gap you should still have a chance to get in on puts tomorrow.
For the record being a bobo is a bad idea especially a neet bobo. You should instead wait for the dip then buy things you think will rebound like high quality tech or oil.

Those don't respond as sensitively to changes in price as you're imagining. Very little gamma compared to those closer to expiry, so you mainly rely on the delta for directional gains which is usually jack shit.
There's always some "gotcha" and there's no loophole in options, you have to give something to get something.
