I'd be so so so much richer right now if it weren't for my car insurance skyrocketing over the past few years. My rates literally went up over 2x over the past 2 years alone:

But yet, as mentioned in another reply, 48 states require car insurance, and I'm in one of the states with the absolute worst hikes (SC). Fucking hell this shit sucks so hard, why does the government mandate me to participate in one of the scammiest, scummiest ponzi schemes of all time? All because all of the you-know-who's who don't know how to drive? I'm supposed to pay into the pot for their recklessness? FUCK.

I've known quite a number of people in the trades and I can't begin to tell you how many of them yearn for office jobs. I'm not a tradie myself, but I've experienced the dreaded office life and it's the polar opposite end but still sucks - you're stationary in a chair all day, and lack of sunlight. Horrible for your health, but in the trades, you wear out your joints extremely fast, and expose yourself to severe injuries + biological hazards that can also shorten your life span.

Anyways, back to the trades - I get sick of the meme because you ALWAYS hear the stories of the plumbers and carpenters who have their own business and make upper six figs to even millions per year in their business. What normies fail to understand though is that's well less that 1% of all tradies who make that astronomical level of money. The rest of the tradies make even lower than slave wages, as the boomer bosses hoard all the cash in the end (same as the corporate world basically).

tldr; stop falling for memes, it's all stupid clickbait where you're only seeing the top 0.0001% making millions and the seed oil clan immediately goes "ZOMG i'm INsPIrED IMMA BE RICH SOMEDAY LIKE THESE GUYS!!!!!"

This market is driving me absolutely mad right now with the up down up down up down endless crabbing. It's making me feel very anxious/paranoid about some of my alt holdings.

Any tips on dealing with this anxiety?

The network specifically. I decided to take profits from a shitcoin I was holding, only for the stupid eth network to play a nasty trick on me and literally eat all $800 (!!!) of the profits I had! Want to know how this happened? Wasn't my fault - I went to swap the token back into eth, and Uniswap promised me a certain amount of eth, and after I signed the transaction, it immediately deducted a solid 0.2-0.3 eth it gave back to me! That's on top of the nasty gas fees.

I understand that was more of a liquidity issue, but fucking hell compounding liquidity issues on top of the absolute dogshit gas fees makes this network absolutely unusable. I'm so demoralized now, and I understand why public sentiment is heading towards using SOL & AVAX as networks instead. I still don't know what to do with my Eth (really a stablecoin at this point) on the side - thinking about switching networks? Any tips on what I should do next? Is there a good hot wallet to use for Avax & SOL you'd recommend? I'm seriously seething right now.

They'll also seethe at the new normie investors entering in and making 1000x+ from random shitcoin gambles.

Ever since the XRP rally, my mom is technically performing better with her investment (all in on XRP) as opposed to me who has a whole bitcoin and a couple of alts (VRA and SOL).

I've been in this space for years but yet I'm still suffering the millennial curse (I'm -50% on my portfolio while she's only -10% now). How come?

Despite the recent climb to 30k, I'm still down 50% on my portfolio. Housing keeps far outpacing inflation so forget it in terms of ever owning a home.
