thanks for the replies anons, I'm not too interested in vaulting long term. What I was looking for was something I can load up small amounts of cash into until I can afford to buy a few oz at a time to save on premiums but also to hedge against inflation and the rising price of gold. All these vaulting services charge silly premiums for physical delivery. So my best option is to just save the money into a vaulting service and then transfer back to fiat when I'm ready to buy.

I like the look of glint as I could buy sovs directly with their mastercard.

As a brit you've been started down the right path. Britannias are the best bullion to buy in the UK and half-crowns/ florins offer the best premiums when buying. Here's a chart I made which might help you out.

Maundy and circulation had the same design up until '27 when circulation switched to the oak design. Man premiums on the smaller stuff, 3d and 6d are insane. Florins are the easiest to get below spot and I love them.
t. anon who made pic related.

when I made this chart I deliberately excluded the crowns as I knew they would need a chart of their own. I'll post the draft now. Any criticism please reply and I'll adjust it

I'm stuck in the house on furlough at the minute so I've been making charts as a quick reference for myself.. Here's one for silver content of British pre decimal coins and their silver contents
