inflation is not as simple as people in here think.
if country "prints" money its loans out of future income.
as all western countries loan money they actually just use future taxes to do stuff now.
if country loans money to build a road that road must be paid back from future generations work and everyone who worked for that money and used that money actually caused inflation. guy builds a road and uses that money to buy a car. so gov dept is used to buy that car too.

why we dont have hyper inflation now is because its a loan so we dont see it now and because that money flows to big players that have big reserves
>Berkshire Hathaway maintains a significant cash reserve, which as of recent reports, was over $149 billion.

this money is out of circulation for now, but when they buy anything its back in. there should be so much inflation that no one wants money but its held back.
in scenario when dept cant be taken anymore country will lose its GDP. there is nothing you can invest against that. nothing can survive if they dont have customers.
so what we think as future inflation might be actually deflation. if everyone is so desperate for customers they lower prices and if people loses jobs because of that they are desperate for money. also if big stock collapse happens people in stocks cant get money out and they will be desperate for money.

also gold just over 2x in same time. look at 1920 dip and compare 2001 dip
https://www.macrotrends.net/1333/historical-gold-prices-100-year-chart

sp500 went down and took over 20 years gain back what was lost.
https://www.macrotrends.net/2324/sp-500-historical-chart-data

there are 2 scenarios possible for current problems. hyper inflation and stockcrash/deflation. in each gold has shown strenght in past.
> in the context of Venezuela’s hyperinflation, the effectiveness of gold as a hedge is questionable

buy hedges, keep cash and diversify portfolio. lets hope we dont get fucked by boomers

This anon gets it. If you want pumps, get into smaller caps with good narratives like gaming, Layer 1s/0s, and unique use cases like JOYSTREAM. I've dropped 4 fucking cryptos for free in here. Go to CMC RIGHT NOW and look at their all time charts. Then compare it to pump and dumps like LINK. No one here can prove me wrong because they're married to their bags like pathetic simps. Seriously DYOR on these and make up your own mind. This board is a normie echo chamber at this point. Don't take picks from people who are holding bags from fucking 2015 still who think they have all the answers. Literally braindead.

No one is disputing that fact.

And exactly because of that fact you should focus on trying to make as much money as possible during bull markets so you are not even poorer when the next bear comes.

They fell when fiat money was instituted. Same thing that happened to us about 100 years ago.

Will the ((( federal reserve ))) end in our lifetimes?

Even if you are a dirty-rotten-khazar-kike, you most likely will benefit greatly financially if the fed was to end.
Just think about it you lousy kikes.

>If something like that happened
It is happening, it happens to all fiat systems.

>and dollars were just hemorrhaging value then PMs would fundamentally be priced far far far higher as they command safe-haven premium.

Paper receipt derivatives is what is keeping the price of metals down. Well then you would say to me "Great, just let the derivative system crash". The central bank and elites will never let this happen, the whole thing is a game of chicken and will keep on doing what they are doing because they control the bullion market price itself, which is what you measure its value at. Even if the derivatives crashed the western governments will just rob everyone of their metals. Those extra IRS agents are basically the bandits of the state and they're in a much better position of beating you at a game of attrition than letting silver shoot to the moon and free the plebs from the fiat slavery system.
