Biggest I ve dug up my self was 15 grams a few summers ago, two summers back I found a 5.5 gram piece and no nuggets last summer over a gram. I was stuck working in the wrong kind of area for them unfortunately but hopefully I ll find some chunky this year.

Lets put it this way, nuggets in general carry a 15% premium in normal times, higher if they look really interesting / have something special going on (quartz inclusions, dendrites, crystal habit etc). Right now though nuggets in some places are going for 125% the normal rates. Even little 1-2 gram picker nuggets are going for $300 a pop on ebay.
If your looking to by gold nuggets for something neat to add to a PM collection, look up my buddy https://www.nuggetsbygrant.com/ he buys from me once in a while when I have gold to sell.

We use PMs like a physical savings account. You don't put everything into PMs, you put a little away every so often when you can for a number of reasons.

I have a bunch of simple gold photos but for the longest time I didnt carry a cell phone or camera. I was working, and wasnt on the internet much.

After a cleanup I usually will roast my gold to remove local mercury from the flakes, than i would put it in a plastic vial and hide it. No most companies when you go to sell ore gold want it as natural as possible. I ll sell my flakes to one guy, the nuggets to another than keep any interesting pieces for myself.
