Are you worried she (or her father) is trying to figure out if you make a lot of money?
If you don't want her to "research" your job to check your wealth you could use an alternative title for your actual job and roughly explain it, this way if she is researching to golddig she'll have no clue if you're wealthy or not, but if she just wants to socialize then she'll learn a bit about your job.
or are you wondering if it's a scam because she's actually interested?
