i got some 40k saved up and am thinking about putting 10k of it into metal. i'd like to actually physically own it. i'm considering metals right now and weighing my options

> put it into silver and own a big phat bar of silver (taht is cool!)
> put it into something like gold where it wont be a huge bar and easier to hide

also is there something with even more value per weight? i like the idea of buying a couple 1000 $$$ worth of something every year that i can just hide in the wall or whateverY

It's a singular event. Like a good meal. Of course it's good but it's never worth the effort. You want to get into a position where you can have it without effort and not worry about. But not because it's so great, just because of the hardwired physical craving for it.
