The problem is that the spikes are getting bigger, so it's getting harder and harder to counter them. This real estate crisis will be shorter than 2008 -2011 crash. The selloff will be faster and the gov will intervene sooner and more aggressively. 20% down from current prices and with 2-3% rates is probably about as good as you can hope for.
