Shkreli is an entirely self-made millionaire. His parents were penniless immigrants. They worked as janitors. Nobody helped him. He stuck his head in books and taught himself how to make money because he had the drive burning inside him to do so. He taught himself about investing, about creating businesses, and got his way into hedge funds under his own steam - he had no connections to give him a job.

Taylor Swift is a spoiled bitch who was born to a wealthy family (dad was a financial advisor, mum was a mutual fund marketing executive). She had every single fucking opportunity handed to her. Record executives swarmed around her because she's attractive and did everything they could to make her successful (so they could take their slice of the pie).
