There's no middle ground for INTP's. Their life outcome is a dipole of greatness on one end or abysmal mediocrity on the other. INTPs have the potential to do truly remarkable things. In terms of intellectual horsepower nobody else comes close, INTJ's being the only exception. However the modern world is a pretty hostile environment for INTPs. So by far the vast majority of them end up languishing in neetdom or mediocrity.

This is /biz/, so if you're an INTP the key is to apply your autism on financially lucrative pursuits. Nobody else will be able to compete, especially in arenas which are traditionally low IQ. For example you could start a cement company. All of your competition will be retarded. So your company's systems and processes will be far superior which will enable you to quickly scale and snuff out the competition. Obviously implicit in this is that you will have to first conclude that material and financial pursuits is even a worthwhile endeavor in the first place. I argue that it is.
