Don't play the promotion game unless you are seeing clear signals that you have a shot (for example, are there a lot of promotions in your vicinity i.e. on your team or adjacent teams? if no so, then fuck a promotion and just do your work and dont get fired, fuck ).

re: new position/new job, it's hard to tell where you are going wrong. try to see if you can invest and hire someone to give you a mock interview to see if you can get some honest feedback. beyond being technical in your interviews, try to be personable. i've been interviewing people for swe positions lately and while some can code, they come off as unpleasant and that leads me to not want to hire them. nerves will come during interviews, it takes practice. make sure you come prepared technically speaking that way you have more mental bandwidth to deal with the social aspects of the interview. in summary, just keep trying and keep reflecting on what you can do to get better.

im a millionaire from crypto but ive gotten tired of just being in front of my computer all day so ive decided to be a doordash delivery fag just to have something to do to get out of my house.
ive been going around delivering orders in a black suit and black tie in my 2019 BMW and spending just about 50hrs a week doing this for fun is earning me after fuel costs about $1k/wk lol
its been a good experience so far and ive met some interesting people which is why im doing it just to meet people.

now that I know that I'm going to make it without a doubt and have all the money I want in the world, life has paradoxically become incredibly boring for me.
