if you're actually from tradfi you'll know that a lot of these guys don't actually want the transparency and trust that chainlink brings
look at their PoR product after FTX shit, i bet the exchanges won't introduce it as they like how things are now
coinbase and gemini are the only hope as they actually adhere to some regulations

the ogs that said to avoid all defi and cefi and just keep your link on a hardware wallet until staking gave that advice for a very good reason
they would have been burnt by project collapses and taxes before
it took me a while to get over losing 900 so i understand but the main thing is that you'll still be in the game and still have 5k link heading into staking

but we are firmly in the early adopter stage and there is always resistance here. remember the cloud and how no one thought entities would give up data control? this is what happens when there is change but if you can identify it you can make a lot of money
