Bitcoin eats Monero if it implements privacy-preserving payments before Monero reaches critical mass, otherwise Monero eats Bitcoin.
Considering their CashShuffle and CashFusion moves, it's even possible that Monero and Bitcoin Cash will eat Bitcoin together:

Bitcoin Cash and Monero also have the advantage that P2Pool mining is actually viable on their networks, which goes a long way in defending against ESG crackdowns on (ASIC) mining compounds: https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/09-2022-Crypto-Assets-and-Climate-Report.pdf
Arguably closing this attack vector is much more important to Bitcoin than even privacy-preserving payments.

If you ask Bitcoiners, they'll say RGB (an evolution of colored coins), which as I understand it can be implemented either on top of Lightning or as a separate payment channel network: https://www.rgbfaq.com/

Personally I think that the Bitcoin Cash zero confirmation solution is better since it's far simpler than both Lightning and RGB: https://bitcoincashresearch.org/t/chip-2021-08-zces-zero-confirmation-escrows/537/19
Add on CashFusion, CashScript as well as even bigger blocks, and Bitcoin Cash does pretty much everything RGB promises:

Finally there this bit of research, but it's just that for now, research:

Sorry, but I can only reply to your posts, not your intended posts.

> no one wants it for any other reason that participating in the ponzi scheme for "number go up" and there aren't enough fools for it.
Greater fool theory is a thing, anon. Bitcoin basically ran on it while development had stagnated up to the point where Taproot was implemented, picrel.
Other proofs being HEX, SAFEMOON and SHIB.

> and there aren't enough fools for it.
The die-hard supporters literally labeled themselves lunatics...
