Grab yourself some graphics software. There are plenty of freebies out there. So many I can't keep track. Krita and Gimp spring to mind. Photoshop is the granddaddy but isn't free. Then just play around. You'll be 100% shit at first but you'll improve quickly. My top tip would be to spend a while watching YouTube videos of people who know what they're doing.
