Ding ding.

Its hilarious that people on /biz/ are still hoping that this is their way out of having to work and actually contribute something to society.

Its worse than the beanie baby bubbles of the 90s. At least you could give those to children to play with.

Good investment. Look how much this guy is asking for his Beanie Baby. I'm sure he'll have buyers lining up.

Never give up. I'm still holding out until Beanie Babies recover their price.

Anyone want to buy this one? It has value because it is rare.

Here's your weekly reminder that ALL crypto's are ponzi schemes and bubbles, and that you will lose all of your money if you stay in too long.

Mmm sweeties, can you grow up and stop playing with your internet monopoly money?

Its going to crash hard back to 1K just like every bubble ever reverts to the mean.

Its a bubble without any actual underlying adoption. Its the worst kind of bubble, its tulip mania rather than dot com.

Nobody uses crypto for anything other hoping there are more retarded millennials who will give you a higher amount of real money for it if you hold it a bit longer.

All bubbles have the same components...

> No matter what you pay now, someone will pay more later
> You need to get in now before it's too late
> All the 'smart money" is getting in, so you should to
> Asset prices above real value.

Now, I'm not so much of a fool that I don't know that most of you are coiners; so I will turn this into something you all seem to like... boomer bashing.

Here are some of the bubbles and mania that the boomers fell for. If you see any similarities between them and crypto, that's your own business.

A lot of these videos are from the various "shop at home" channels, which has always been ground zero for peak bubble.

Beanie Babies:

Buy the stuffed animal now for whatever price they are charging, because it will be worth more later. Artificial scarcity driving prices up, people not wanting to "miss out"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-OqzEOs_DY

Baseball card bubble:

Over-supply of cards flooding the market. People not knowing what's good and what's bad. Inflated prices, artificial scarcity, not wanting to "miss out", the belief that future value is based on current buzz:

Silver Bubble:

Artificial scarcity created by two brothers hording silver in warehouses. Prices spike, people melting down grandma's silverware for cash.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nLUnbAp7FU

Housing Bubble:

Prices never go down, doesn't matter what you pay because someone will pay more later. Everyone conned into going into massive debt because they were going to be rich.

Let's see if I understand your logic here....

> spend real money on a photo I can get on the internet.
> expect someone else to pay twice as much as I did.

To quote an old phrase... it's a miracle that a fool and his money got together in the first place.

even the top cryptos have no underlying value

(once again... once you know to separate the non-proprietary tech from the coin)

The only "value" in all cryptos is speculative. People buy them because they think someone will pay them more later.

That is not value, that is a bubble and a ponzi scheme.

Let's talk about bubbles. How they form, why people participate, why they pop.

Pick your own, or choose from the list....

Tulip Bubble
Real estate bubble of the 1920's
Real estate bubble of the 2000's
Beanie Babies
Dot Com Bubble
Trading Card Bubble
Pog Bubble
Crypto Bubble

2. I will argue any subject with any person at any time.

3. The real market is closed on the weekend

December 10, 2017... The CBOE opens their bitcoin futures market, allowing real traders to short or long bitcoin

December 17, 2017... CME opens their bitcoin futures exchange, allowing professional traders to long and short bitcoin.

December 22nd, 2017... bitcoin bubble bursts.

Here's what happened....

1. Coiners trading in a netherworld where there are no rules, there is no real ability to bet against bitcoin, and where the price is allowed to detach from reality

2. Bitcoin dragged into an open regulated market where professional traders can participate.

3. The part is over, reality wins.
