I have an idea for an app but I have no idea how to program or where to go with the idea. Advice?

So, I'm an architect as is my wife. She focuses more on interior architecture, as well as dabbled in interior design before.

We're considering trying to start our own design firm. However the one issue we're thinking we'll face is finding those initial clients. Besides craigslist and targeted ads, anyone have tips on how to score clients for both interior architectural work, as well as standard architectural work?

I recently left my latest job to go at it my own. I've owned a business before (VPS/Web hosting) and did quite well. I sold it off a few years back.

I'm started a technology consulting company/MSP. I've worked as a sys admin/project manager for the past four years.

I'm at a loss for new business though. With my previous venture it was 100% online advertising. However this is a different game completely.

TL:DR Anyone have good ideas on how to market my newest company and find clients?
