Half of the almost-not-shitcoins on the market are blockchain protocols. How many of these do you think we actually need? Most of them are getting some shit tier development and won't be able to communicate with one another... so even if they all did survive and we wound up with one blockchain protocol for every country, how the fuck do you transfer data from one to the next?

Oh right, ChainLink or something exactly like it.

Or maybe there are only 2-3 blockchain protocols. Which will survive? Currently ETH is #1 most likely candidate, and currently ChainLink is the only solution in play to move data on and off of the ETH blockchain via smart contracts.

Or maybe corporations and banks decide to start developing their own decentralized blockchains. They'll need an oracle to communicate with one another.

The only possibility where a product like ChainLink isn't a global necessity is where we have ONE blockchain protocol, and that blockchain protocol has developed a decentralized oracle for itself.

But that will be 1-2+ years from now, by which point this shit will already be baked into the system and we'll operate just fine using a variety of protocols and a variety of decentralized oracles to help them communicate.

LINK is one of many that will come, but it's the first and most far ahead.
