It met you in that moment and only that moment in which it causally transferred to you
In that way events in the past are not in the past for all things in all places yet, things take time to causally effect other things
There is a weirdly blatant traceable causal line that goes straight from that woman's gesicht to you, but you going back to look at the photo, even in your memory, does not in fact constitute the same point along that line as when it first crossed into and through you
That second (..third, fourth) viewing is not an experiment of the same experience to verify its true nature and to pin down an explanation but a new experience entirely, prompted by altered data / from other initial conditions
That's why it's important to remember what you can the first time

And that's not to mention the degree to which the demon is actually working on not being seen, as sometimes of course they want to be
