SEEKING HELP!

I'm currently holding tobacco bags and I have been since December when I bought before the ex-date like a tard and a turd. Problem is I'm in the red. How long do I keep holding? Do I need to wait until I'm green? I feel like I'm missing out on opportunities. It could also be a blessing in disguise because I was dumb enough to pour all my life savings into tobacco, thus saving me from making other stupid decisions.
