its a good thing im so poor even if i lost everything it wouldnt affect me that badly.

i follow /smg/ daily and a lot of anons seem to have confidence the market will keep improving, but i wonder where is the confidence based?
im trying to understand it, but it doesn't make any sense to me, the crash shouldve been so much more severe, unless that is still to come.
a pandemic is one thing, but chimp outs are something far worse. joggers can absolutely decimate a country, just look at south africa or rhodesia for examples.

Who is this mystery hero that pumped oil this morning?
Where did he come from?
Why would he do it?
What does he want (obviously not money)?
Perhaps we may never know, but god bless you for your sacrifice, truly a knight as dark as the oil he will drown in.

Elevator to hell baby, going down.

I've said what I have to say. I'll admit I was wrong about oil if it isn't in the toilet by tomorrow at noon. I won't admit I was wrong about tankers because they're still trading below their fundamentals because thumbsuckers somehow think storage is the only thing they're good for

I'm a dick about oil because oil is the thickest, veiniest, meatiest dick of them all, and it has been that way for centuries. If I said "May 19 is when futures roll over and tankers make rents by accommodating delivery on current future prices if there is a large difference between the spot price and long term futures price" you would think that's all there was to it and sleep like a baby.
Oil is a cartel controlled commodity with very particular supply and demand side oddities. You cannot sleep on oil. Ever. Which is particularly exhausting because it does fucking nothing for long periods of time. I can absolutely guarantee you there are people who were successful in oil for years that got complacent and have been absolutely ruined between October 2019 and today.

It's this imho. That NAT pump from Cramer is probably what's behind this. Trump tries to counter this kind action, his tweets about oil have consistently been an attempt to mitigate short term downward trends.

>one-off cash in event
All you're doing is proving you don't know how tanker contracts work, that you didn't know that oil oversupply was an issue before COVID-19 was, and that tankers being able to pay of their debts with a cash influx is a good thing regardless of what happens going forward.

I would say you're trying to dissuade people, but why? Cramer and jewtube have already done the damage, and it's undoing itself on its own. Oil has pretty much recovered in price, boomers are spooked, and Trump is trying to squeeze the fuck out of speculators. These stocks aren't going significantly lower anytime soon.

babby's first small cap. DHT is one of the larger tanker companies and has a cap of 1B. Retail money can move the needle here, as NAT clearly demonstrated. This ride will not be smooth. If you don't have the stones for it, get out now.
