So following in the footsteps of the anon from the previous thread, I also went to my local GME and did some DD

This is in a nice area of Austin TX

This is what the employees I asked had to say
The good:
>people are going absolutely apeshit for the new console releases. Their store had 8 available preorders, yet 40 people had lined up in the morning
>despite what the employees called 'a dismal launch lineup' customers really, really want the new consoles, because (sarcastic quote of a customer made by the employee) "I want muh new vidjagames"
>everyone wants the disc versions
>employees expressed strong positive sentiments about the holiday season "its always a good time for us"

The bad:
>Customers are only really there for the new console preorders, don't buy anything else, and the ones whon don't get it leave discouraged
>Employees called this "the worst new console roll-out they've ever seen"
>With the new consoles coming out employees doubted anyone would want to buy a PS4/Xbone around the holidays, so less demand for GS's resale buisiness

Overall I'm hoping Sony fixes their shit dammit
