The news stuff tends to be short term and not reflective of fundamentals. It's about 90% reactionary. However, the range doesn't change very much. BUT it emphasizes that any actual news out of the country does have effects on the market and how they see the U.S. dollar. For example, the video was released 10 minutes ago. You can see from these charts I have up that nothing really changed as a result. Trump tweeting has no impact on the stocks but the actual news from AP, reuters, WSJ, Bloomberg, BBC, and NHK have more impact on the markets.
