I can talk about safes all day. the two big points that you want to follow are

otherwise they will take it, even if it's a BBC floor safe that's over 1000lbs
>mechanical combination lock only - NO ELECTRONICS
and no keys either. the electronics in these fail more often than a negro on parole. hybrid locks are best, as long as mechanical portion still works regardless of the electronic part. I can't stress this enough: no electronics. don't do it.
