What that key sequence generates depends on your hardware, OS, locale, encoding, etc. I haven't fucked with Alt codes since the DOS days, when ANSI art was popular. And now I'm running some non-standard hardware with a cobbled-together frankenstein Linux distro, and usually my locale is just set to "C" and I often use dank old computer fonts in my terminals. So that UMU symbol isn't going to work here, but apparently it does in whatever environment "kapluie" is running. But no it doesn't matter that the symbol isn't part of the english language, they can use whatever they want. And as far as different fiat currencies go, they have to work with those for now, but probably they plan to phase them all out and move everyone to their NWO shitcoin. Of course their goofy plans will probably fall apart at some point.
