you can use a rocker on pretty off put ground, but the other way to do it is to dig material up, than take it somewhere better to work on. Its a pain in the ass but its often more practical than trying to wash in the same spot.

yep but every day a little more thaws out. I am hoping it stays around a bit longer higher up, I need water for my highbanker / ground sluicing, the snow melts the best source of water right now.
