You're forgetting that biz DID actually predict ethereum. Biz correctly predicted the significance of smartcontracts and proof of stake. There were anons telling people to sell everything they own, max their credit card and put all their cash into eth. It's just incredibly rare to find someone that has the patience to wait 6 years, especially when they have the chance to sell in profit and they are uncertain of the future. Also, a x6000 wasn't possible for eth, you would have got x500 at most. The best strategy is to just forget about what you are holding and get on with your life. You aren't gonna make it if you have low time preference. Honestly just log off biz and stop checking the price, there's no good link discussion here anyway.

ETH threads were by and far the most popular alt coin threads. You had others which always saw some replies, SYS FCT and SIA come to mind. Others had their quick claim to fame like Trumpcoin and Digibyte but ETH threads were the most popular alt on /biz/ by far. BTC was the most popular topic at the time and there were legitimate debates between no-coiners and coiners, which is non existent now as basically everyone fights amongst whichever crypto they're invested in.
Anyone asking questions about how Ethereum worked or why it was necessary to have its own coin was met with DYOR or calling them retarded. I mean there was just a certain arrogance they had. Like they knew it was the one and no one could tell them different. There were some breadcrumb threads involving Microsoft but I feel like that speculation was more common in XRP threads at the time. You had the typical "Ethereum's gonna moon!","$500 a coin easily!" and at the time it seemed almost delusional. I still remember an anon saying he was going to work his shitty job for the next year and live off eating rice and is going to put $400 a month into Ethereum back when it was consolidating to $6. I wonder how hes doing now and at what price he sold. I also remember an anon who claimed to be older man who told me he convinced his family to all invest into Ethereum around that time, told me technical trading will only get you so far and boy was he right.

ETH was also the most fudded fucking project ever. The noob FUD was about Vitalik being a russian autist scammer. The god tier FUD came during the DAO hack when ETH forked and ETC first came around. It was hard to hold when it shot up to $20 and all the way down to $7. Funny looking back at it now because that dip seems like nothing compared to the overall graph.
