Now I haven’t taken a closer look at this one yet (too many other spots) but the more I think about it, the more interesting it seems. The circle is like at the apex of an inside bend (but not a very sharp one) and at low water it’s dry (concrete foundations of the bridge? Large boulders? Haven’t yet been on the other side, the baby will wake up if I cross the bridge) but should have some cracks worth cleaning. Probably with my hand pump, if underwater. And there’s a gravel bar at the yellow downstream (slack water between the two spots). Really got to try those spots too, it seems to me.
