My ex started getting fat right when I started getting /fit/.
I played hockey in high school, but I wanted to get "jacked" years later, so I got way into lifting.

If she isnt willing to stick with it and do it on her own (with some encouragement of course) she will NEVER do it. Prepare for a fat gf and years of her bitching at you when you even hint at anything to do with health or fitness.
