Anons I feel extremely stupid. I'm looking into exchange betting on betfair but can't understand this shit. If I place a back bet that has, for example, 5:1 odds, and the corresponding lay bet also has 5:1 odds, and I bet $50, does that mean that I profit $200 if I win, but have to payout $200 if I lose, or do I only lose the 50 in that case?
