I don't get why the british left is trying to push American style race politics so hard

American blacks were shipped over to America against their will and forced to work for free for 200 years and they were denied civil rights for another 100 so I get why they are pissed . Most of the black population in britain came here voluntarily for paid work 50s and 60s and they have always enjoyed the same rights as natives. The situation is completely different
