honestly savings for its own sake isn't necessarily bad up to a point. it gives you "fuck you" money so you know you don't have to take shit at work, plus you won't go bankrupt from minor expenses. But, make sure to buy something nice every once in a while so it's real. Not with a big % of your money just something you want that you can't justify from a practicality standpoint. Otherwise it's just a number on a screen.
