"Investor protection" - since when are investors promised they literally can't lose on their investment? Plus they already had the 15c floor - so cannot lose more than 75% of their investment at any time (while most altcoins experience 90%+ drops in bear market).
And, they do it in the middle of the bear market, when people are preparing for more dips.

UST was also supposed to equal $1, we'll see if people are willing to buy XCM artificially high or secondary markets (uniswap) paint a different picture
