There is nothing wrong with profit taking. Sure, maybe you won't "make it", maybe you won't end up with life-changing money, but if you take profits now and put them towards a worthwhile cause like a house down payment or something, then sure, why not. You've made money and used it to improve your life, congratulations.

This next cycle will be a true test for many of us here, myself included, who are nearing the 7-figure range already. If you can just hold through all the epic crashes and rallies to come, then next cycle in 4-5 years you will have truly life-changing, generational wealth.

It's up to you and your own life circumstances, nobody can make the decision for you. Will you sell now and be content with your gains thus far? Maybe you have to, maybe you have a child on the way, who knows, I'm not gonna judge you. I'm younger, so I have the risk tolerance and time preference to hold on for another cycle.

The market is a wonderfully efficient mechanism for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient.
