I used to own some Sotkamo Silver but decided my money would be better used elsewhere after all. Their debt and performance as well as the general lack of transparency on the company website (no technical report) kind of made me want to move on. I own a bit over 100ozs Ag & a cool sterling silver bowl but I actually feel like I should have bought gold because I'm getting a feeling I'll have a hard time selling the silver even in a hyperinflationary event over here in Finland, we really don't have the same kind of culture and environment for precious metals as in the Americas. Oh well, good to have anyways I suppose. Been stacking canned food though, that's the shit.

If you want to learn how to research these miners look at the pastebin in the OP btw, lots to consider when investing.

Go to /smg/ and ask which brokers are not cucking retailers from buying the shares they want and ask their opinion of where you should open your account.

And good on you for getting those ounces. Hang in there, things might get crazy

To the silver miner anon:

I actually bought a bunch of Bayhorse -- after all my previous assurances against doing so -- today. I had thought silver would crab for a few months and that silver miners would keep bleeding so I wasn't positioned in silver miners at all really. Only had started consolidating into my favorite value plays, and most of my holdings were gold stocks. Had to make some sacrifices and sell some of my long term gold plays at a loss to get in on some silver action (even sold my beloved NHK shares) Was going to buy Bayhorse at around 7-8c but 10c is a very fair value anyways especially now that they're fully focused on the silver mine.

Anyways just wanted to tell you that despite our previous disagreements in opinion I might actually end up following your advice regardless! Silver is going up at such a staggering pace, I wasn't expecting this at all!! The Reddit wsb pump was impossible to predict.

Hats off to you my man, congratulations! You've earned your gains and I'll chase the charts up if this run continues at this pace

Both are nice. If silver rockets up, gold should follow although a bit slower. Also gold should protect your purchasing power better in the long run as silver can do quite fast moves up and down while gold is much more stable. I only hold silver myself though

Physical prices went up because physical demand surged after the initial crash. So while spot prices (determined by the futures market) were down you actually couldn't get any precious metals near those prices due to the high physical demand. In the event of a crash there will be a run on pm's again and you won't see spot prices at bullion dealers

patina is a good telltale sign of real silverware. Junk silver also almost always has markings like "925" or the like somewhere on the metal. Also plated can be magnetic whereas junk silver is only very slightly magnetic, barely noticeable. I'm not very seasoned on these myself, I only own picrel. There are some anons who pretty much specialize the stuff though
