i was wondering about these "South Africa" and "UK" variants that are popping up everywhere now...deaths are accelerating, but not too badly yet. hopefully shit doesn't turn into The Stand, that would suck.

Agustin Carstens of BIS made an interesting speech on the topic of what the role of central bankers will look like in the future:
https://www.bis.org/speeches/sp201214.htm

>Second, money can be – and is being – turned into pure information. Payments are being integrated with digital communications, and private companies are asking, "If it is so easy to send a TikTok video around the world, why isn't it just as easy to send money?" This is bringing new challenges to how we think of money, and to the role of central banks.

Third, while private companies offer a dizzying array of payment options and financial services, issues of competition loom large. Regulators want banks and other companies to play fair, in other words keep a "level playing field". But in a complex and globalised world with national regulators and regulatory structures built for traditional business models, how do we ensure this in practice?

(remember, BIS is the central bank of central banks and probably the most powerful financial institution in the world after the IMF)

ALGO and XLM yeah

good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl-G7acIG8A&feature=emb_logo
(bonus interview between Brad and Julia, you can tell they are doing their best not to let on that they are both extremely attracted to each other, sparks are flying- when they finally come together for passionate, sweaty lovemaking it'll be like a celestial event- i imagine it'll last hours, maybe even days, both bringing the other to climax multiple times. unlimited depth of pleasure. you could power an entire town off the sexual tension these two emit. just amazing. after i finished the interview i had to go beat off in the shower just to stop shaking. powerful stuff man)

digital assmen.

hilarious, clever puns aside, this is very bullish and i would argue probably coordinated at a very, very high level- when you start getting into public perception management, that's Eduard Bernays shit. I wouldn't be surprised if this directive was being passed down from the IMF. expect it to spread in the coming months until "crypto" sounds like "surfing the net"

personally i will refer to XRP in whichever way Mike Jones wants me to. I stan a publicly accessible king.

Swiss Wholesale CBDC Trial Shows ‘Feasibility’ for Central Bank Money on Distributed Ledger, BIS Says

An under-the-wraps Swiss trial testing how central bank money can be linked to financial markets built on distributed ledger technology (DLT) yielded positive results, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) announced Thursday.

Launched by the Swiss National Bank (SNB) in collaboration with BIS’ Innovation Hub and Swiss stock exchange operator SIX, the project looked into the feasibility of using a wholesale central bank digital currency (CBDC) to settle digital assets as well as link DLT platforms to existing payment systems.

According to the BIS report, the project has demonstrated feasibility for both approaches. Titled “Project Helvetia,” BIS said when using a CBDC limited to banks and financial institutions, a wholesale CBDC has potential advantages although it also raises some policy and governance challenges.

threadly reminder to hit Mike Jones up on the low because XRP is bout to blow

>What wallet do I use?
There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet
Do not use Droplet wallet, is it a scam.
