Atlas Shrugged is more of a story/propaganda that hammers on the points of Sovereign Individual. I'd say you can get most of the idea just from Sovereign Individual because Atlas Shrugged is long as fuck and Ayn Rand really likes to reiterate the same points over and over. I've read both fyi.

Sovereign Individual is probably more relevant because the technologies that have developed since Atlas Shrugged was written actually make an Atlas Shrugged scenario WAY more likely than it was during the Industrial Age (we've moved into the Information Age since then).
