It comes across as pathetic. I had 300k at 20 at one point (now have about 100k), at no point did I decide to change my lifestyle because I don't need to show off when I know I'm a gorillion times more successful than everyone I know.

A few weeks ago I met a 80 yo boomer on a houseboat down a uk canal. Talked a bt and I've been on his boat a few times, find out he has a networth of about 100 million. (he was very modest, I was asking him for financial advice) Pic related in black was his car.

The point is, why would you need to prove you're better than everyone if you already know it?
