How do retail traders even make money shorting? Like it just seems to have such a limited upside. It seems like a financial institution that could do it en masse would be the only ones who would turn a real profit.

I could be wrong though.

Ten years as a concrete finisher/framer. I'm 30. Started washing tools for 14/hr, now I'm 30/hr plus a 15% company profit share.

It's not glamorous but I have pride in what I do, loyal to the small business I work for. Started trying to learn the markets/options/crypto on the side to try a shot at bigger wealth.
