I've been struggling with this fact recently for awhile. Sadly the tides of the normie retard masses will steer the economic climate. You will own nothing and be happy.

My dollar is losing its ass on the daily. I consider myself FIRE but both want and need assets somewhat liquid similar to cash that I can use frequently while I'm still working towards retirement.

Physical gold and gems is a great option for me (that I enjoy) but unless someone is willing to deal discreetly in gold, its useless, especially how heavily it is taxed (28% in burger land)

Cattle has a very slow ROI and is not at all liquid but having immediate family in the cattle industry makes this an easy buy in.

Coffee is a hobby of mine and really doesn't amount to much return. I have a friend in Panama who is a native South American/US citizen and we have considered importing coffee large scale from SA farms to the US, I have ties to some in the shipping industry, but its more of a thought exercise as of now.

Many other commodities don't interest me due to a lot of them having an "expiration date" if you will, and I prefer to deal in physical assets, so that's sorta out for me.

43% of my income goes into the S&P 500 annually, I try to mortgage a rental home every year which usually amounts to 15% of my income and a probably my highest ROI of any asset I own, the rest gets re-invested into my business or sits in a bank (which is the problem)
