I've owned 2 and they've never been assholes. They are different than most other dogs though. They're more mellow, kinda like cats in some ways. They were bred as protector dogs, so they'll get super attached to 1 person and any immediate family, and get nervous around strangers. You'll want to socialize them alot early when they're puppies to break that habit. Bring them around different people/dogs, roughhouse with them a bit, pick up and then put down food while they're eating it so they learn you aren't going to steal it and they don't get possessive(this one goes for all dogs really). If you can devote that time early on in their life they're great dogs, but if you just leave them in the house and ignore them they'll be antisocial and jumpy.

If you're a neet who likes to spend alot of time at home with some free time. If you have kids and raise the dog alongside of them they'll have a lifelong diehard protector teddy.
