I also did a bit of analysis on the 2017 crypto bull run and which altcoins gained the most. Y axis is gains from 1st day of 2017 to the last day of 2017, and x axis is market cap (excluding btc and eth who are huge in comparison). Basically the smaller the coin the bigger the potential gains – however this is only taking the top 100 coins. A lot of coins failed completely but I think they were mostly scams with no effort behind them at all. I need to do a bit more work on this but here it is regardless.
