For the current style of Defi apps, that would be TRON and Binance Chain.

Both are essentially Ethereum clones (use Solidity too for example) but are much faster and cheaper, have their own version of Metamask and have something that can be called a Defi ecosystem. DEXes, lending, staking, stablecoins, ponzi games, scams, it's all there already.

Naturally lots of Pajeets who cry about getting scammed constantly too.

So the current "lets click around in Metamask to move some shitcoins into some staking contracts" - type Defi could take off on TRON and BNB very soon. It's really all about breaking the blue chip coin ETH cartel (SNX, LINK, AAVE etc) which sticks together like glue and is hellbent on not letting ETH alternatives take off (I don't know why, can anybody elaborate on this?)

I keep hearing good things about Cardano, Zilliqa, Solana, DOT, so these might take off later into the future.
I would not bet on NEO, IOTA, EOS. NEO tries to be like Ethereum, but just fails technically and from the ecosystem point of view, and IOTA and EOS are not properly decentralized.
